Can I just say, every Sunday night I sit and stare at the screen as I figure out how to welcome a new Monday. Does anyone else get tired of reading the same, ‘It’s Monday, how was your weekend?!’ opening liners? I always shoot for the creative side and most times can’t think of a darn thing beyond, ‘Happy Monday’. {guess I’m not that creative..}
So, how was your weekend? –I kid..but not really, cause I wanna know, since clearly I’m about to tell you mine.
It went a little something like this:
Friday night – whew, it’s a little hot in the apt., let me turn on the A/C to cool it down before I go to sleep.
20 minutes of the A/C being ‘on’ and no air is coming out. Its broken.
Saturday – ::weather report:: today will be the hottest day of the year!! 20 degrees hotter than normal. (90+*)

Sunday – another uncharacteristic scorcher!
me deciding to run the oven for an hour at 415*, along with the stove on med-high heat for 30, along with washing the dishes in hot water all while the temperature rises over 80 in my apt, leaving me sweating buckets…at the hottest part of the day.
(I’ve been told I’m bright)
Hopefully the landlord sends someone lickity split, cause this girl is melting!
This very week, I’m thankful for:
- floor fans and fruit smoothies to cool me down…oh and an open freezer.
- Jennifer for being such a good sport during all my teasing last week.
- a 2nd pair of shoes. I’ve gone smart (disregard my weekend recap) and bring a 2nd pair of “comfy” shoes in case my other shoes break me…which they usually do.
- officially cutting back my 2 spoonful's of sugar in my coffee to 1. It took over a month but I’m now down to 1 spoon of sugar! My body is cheering…my mouth is still accepting.
- finally finishing a photo album I’ve been working on for 10 months! Its been such a horrendous labor of love, but cannot wait to get it in my hands.
- a great party hosted by my friend. A great time was had by all.

Tell me how you spent your weekend? Was it in a pool? Filled with ice?? –no? must have just been in my dreams…

The hubs had an adventure race. I made it to see them finish but was sick the rest of the weekend. I hope your air is fixed soon!
It was so hot this weekend and we don't have air conditioning! I came home Saturday evening to the house being 77 degrees! Thank goodness for cool NorCal nights!
Haha, that is too funny! I can't believe you decided to bake on such a hot day. I hope your air does get fixed. It's raining over here :)
Oh no! Hope the a/c is fixed SOON! We had air issues during the hottest part of the year too...miserable. Mainly because I can't sleep at all unless I'm cool. Hope you find some relief! Here in VA, we had to turn the heat on this morning. Crazy, huh?!
You are so cute! I wouldn't be able to function without a/c. Like really. And it's not even "that" hot here yet.
