Before I begin.
Did you know if you spell a word incorrectly, all you need to do is right click on it? Instantly (provided you aren’t too far off on the spelling) it’ll give you the correct word to click on and auto correct. You can do it anywhere. In word document, an email, google, internet, blogging. Anywhere you’re typing. Right click, bam! correct word.
I do everything possible to not use this magical tool. When I transferred to the 2nd prison I used to work, I joked about how dumbed down I became. The 1st prison was very strict. I knew the rules, I enforced the rules, and I was a sponge learning and applying so much to the job. The 2nd prison was 180 degrees opposite. Everything willy nilly, very few rules applied. They ran it their way..not the 1st prison’s way. Over time, I forgot rules, enforced very little, and reluctantly fell into their way of program. By the 3rd prison I was dumber than a box of rocks.
So anything to bring myself back to intelligence..even something as small as making my brain work to spell a word correctly on its very own, I’ll do.
It took me (because I’m tired, promise) 8 times to type the word: possibility. 8. A word, that if you’ll notice, isn’t even in this post, but coincidentally sparked my little story.
I really should start going to bed earlier.
NOW! Sadly, almost a month ago (I’m slow), my bestest texting buddy in the world, Tabitha at My Cliffnotes, gave me a blog award. Which blog award? I’m not sure…she didn’t say. But a blog award none the less. Hooray! *cough* I rhymed
And the sweet Stephanie at twenty something gave me the One Lovely Blog award too!
Big huge monstrous thanks to both of you. I humbly accept both awards. They both gave me huge lists to do, so allow me to pick and choose from both lists. {I just said “both” 4 times in 2 sentences.}
Actually instead, I’m going to play 3 truths and a lie. - sorry, ladies - You get to guess which is the lie.
~ I’ve eaten a buffalo burger 5 out of the past 6 days, plus fried cheese globs.~ I still won’t buy cheese due to not being able to control the addiction.
~ I’m not a sarcastic person.
~ I like to leave dead ant bodies on my floors as warning to all the other ants who dare to take me on.
Can you guess? Let’s see how well you truly know me.
Thanks again ladies for the awards!!
Have fun this weekend, my friends. Mine is jam packed with busyness with lots of editing in between. Oh oh I get to see The Hunger Games movie Sunday, too…can’t wait!

Liebster Award
The ever adorable and sweet Claire with Fast Forward Girl awarded me with the Liebster Award. It goes to anyone who has under 200 followers and who they feel deserves a little more recognition. Color me happy, she picked me!

1. Show your thanks by linking to the award giver.
2. Leave links to 5 of your top blogs and leave a sweet comment letting them know.
3. Post the award on your blog.
4. Enjoy and bask in the love.
So let me pick my five who I feel needs to get noticed a wee bit more.
Tabitha with My Cliffnotes: She has become my fast friend and fantastic accountability partner with working out. She’s hilarious and kind and is a great cheerleader when I need and getting on me when I’m slacking. I’ve really enjoyed getting to know her more.
Amy with Dwell in the Season: She is just the sweetest thing ever. Her and her husband are expecting their first baby, and it’s a boy! And it is such a treat being able to follow along with her as her belly grows more and more. She has fantastic sewing tutorials on just about everything and even though I don’t know the first thing about it, she makes me want to consider learning.
Katie with J & K: Katie is so fun to know. She’s an animal with finishing up her Masters and now starting her dream internship all while getting settled in their very first house they bought. She’s doing the 30 days picture challenge and has been showing some great pictures. Oh and she loves rap. I think I’ll always chuckle at that fact as she doesn’t fit the ‘type’. ;-)
Christina with He Makes All Things New: I personally know Christina. We used to live in the same town years ago and she happens to be my birthday twin. (I’m the older!!) She is sweet as can be, has a passion for NEEDTOBREATHE and the Lord…I probably should flip those, but she is a great person inside and out. Even though she hasn’t blogged since Christmas Eve, her heart is one to get to know.
Erin with Erin Clicks: This dear girl right here is my in real life friend who just started her blog 2 weeks ago. I can’t say enough wonderful things about her OR her photography as IT.IS.AMAZING. She’s my go to girl for tips, thoughts, ideas and anything under the sun. I love this girl to death! Like. love! Her humor is spot on with mine. And her kids….adorable. She calls one Moose…you must check her out.
Thank you Claire so so much for giving me the love! I feel it. Now ladies, go spread the love yourselves!
Since I must, let me ease your eyes with an orange grove I came across the other week. I still don’t know why there were hundreds of oranges and lemons on the ground. It was eerie.
If anyone knows, feel free to fill me in.

I’m thankful 39
Happy Monday my sweet friends. I’m sitting here listening to Dean Martin sing “Let it snow” and loving every minute of it. I don’t mind one bit that it’s the 14th of November, I’m happily listening to Christmas music. Besides, I know one or two people who already have their Christmas trees up already…
So, for this week I’m thankful for:
- a whirlwind weekend. It was constant and trying but at least in between all the chaotic moments I was able to relax and hangout w/my parents.
- the clearest skin I’ve had in years. Seriously. I can’t get past how much my skin has cleared up since taking the medication the dermatologist has given me. So so very happy. I can even (and have often) walked out of my apt. without any makeup on. Such a relief!
- being given the Liebster Award from Nona at Gr8tday2save. She thinks my blog is dear, kind, and/or the best and that’s just the sweetest thing ever. Thank you Nona.
- fitting into the jeans I talked about not being able to fit into, here. I thought I’d just throw them on last week to see if they fit and they more than fit! I’m so happy I can wear them again.
- finding $10 in the back pocket of those jeans. Could it have gotten any better than that?! Fitting into a pair of jeans I couldn’t 2 1/2 months ago and finding money in them!? I. think. not!
- spending that $10 on a family size pizza and garlic cheese breadsticks, all for myself. (oh, yes I did!) But THEN, I realized they messed up my pizza. I called and whined, they said sorry and we hung up. The owner calls and apologizes and says they’ll deliver me a brand new correct pizza free of charge and when the guy arrived he had the pizza and another order of breadsticks!! Talk about a lot of food. So I ended up giving the 1st pizza and 2nd order of breadsticks to my neighbor.
naturally, a crumby cell phone picture to prove it.
Alright, spill the beans. How many of you have ordered a full size pizza all for yourself? And how long did it take you to eat the entire thing? It took me 5 days to eat this entire pizza, mind you, but I finished!
Oh and can we all just pause and acknowledge the fact Thanksgiving is NEXT WEEK!!

I’ve been rewarded
The ever so sweet, loveable, adorable, wonderfully worded and beautiful Angie at Living Aloha tagged me in the Versatile Blogger Awards! Yay! Thank you, Angie!! You are the best!
If you don’t know Angie, please, go introduce yourself. She’s great, you’ll love her. And tell her I sent you.
The rules are clear:
- Thank the award-giver and link back to them in your post.
check
- Tell your readers 7 things about yourself.
see below, check
- Give this award to 3 bloggers.
I changed it to a manageable 3 (it was up to 15!) and check
- Contact those bloggers and tell them the exciting news!
soon to check
Way back in the day read: May, ‘11, I gave 7 random facts about myself and lucky for you, I’m pretty random so I have plenty more to share. Ironically 1 of the 7 involve my love of cheese and appropriately enough I was screaming at Angie just how much I love fried cheese, Tuesday. I pray I’m never lactose intolerant because I love me some cheese.
Okay, on to the 7!
1. I’ve walked on a 10ft long bed of hot coals..twice. I was also told I was the slowest walker of the group. Never once feeling pain..except the very last step when a coal got stuck between my toes.
2. I have recurring dreams about me going the bathroom. I will not elaborate beyond, its always me. a toilet. and a wide open room w/people all around. And it almost became a reality when I walked into a park restroom in HI where there was 1 toilet with NO door (on purpose)…and women around.
…did I mention I had that dream the night before??
3. When I first moved to Los Angeles, for 3 months straight, I ate chocolate every single day. I craved it and could never get enough…after a 15lb gain, I was forced to cut back to every other day.
4. I once body slammed a girl fighting for a jump ball during a basketball game. She had to be helped off the court. (I was a bit competitive. And yes, it was legal.)
5. The first time I ever fell asleep in class was in the 3rd grade. That started many many years of sleeping in classes for me.via
6. I am available 24/7. When G-man or my mom, calls or texts and I don’t answer or call back within 5 minutes (on the off chance I can’t answer), they start to worry and proceed to leave a very concerned voicemail or multiple texts of concern.
7. Because I AM so available, whenever you tweet me or text me, I’ll purposely wait a couple minutes so you think I have a life even though I got your text/tweet the moment you sent it. Often times, because I force myself to wait…<to look good in your eyes>, I forget you texted/tweeted me, which is why I prefer to respond immediately.
Alrighty rooty! On to the tagging. These 3 ladies, I’ve really come to enjoy getting to know. I hope you check them out if you haven’t had a chance yet!

Awards and too much thought, or lack of
First though, I have to eat some words of mine…I have a problem.. It’s called speaking before I should. It’s a nasty disease. As we all know, yesterday I said my SIL resigned from our game. I created this big ol’ reason in my head why she would and then when I opened up Words w/Friends yesterday my BIL had resigned. I immediately texted asking why and he said, he didn’t but the GAME ITSELF resigns you if you don’t log in after so many days…
Are we all catching on?? Yeah…I totally jumped the gun, and assumed she did it on purpose. I’m good at thinking way too much.
Now on the FLIP side when I don’t think at all (and also don’t get my morning coffee…) I go to pump gas in my car and instead grab the diesel pump and actually put it in my tank. Thank you Jesus it wouldn’t fit and I then realized I grabbed the wrong handle. Let’s not think about what kind of damage that would have cost.
For the record…I’ve never done that before EVER!
Now on to some awesome award questions and happiness, it’s Friday after all!
1. Thank the person who gave the award to you and link back to them.
Dear sweet and darling Katie, thank you oh so much for giving me this coveted award. I will cherish it always. I really am tickled you chose me. You’re so fun to chat w/through comments and emails…and you don’t mind taking my smack talk w/Words. I like you!
2. Tell seven random facts about yourself.
- I don’t turn the tv on until after 5pm every day, even though I’m home all day long.
- I can shoot a Ruger Mini 14 Rifle better with my left hand than my right, and I’m right handed.
- I could eat cheese for breakfast lunch and dinner every day. I love all cheeses, except nasty blue cheese. Ick x20.
- In college I was jumped by 7 girls. They duct taped my hands and feet and carried me to a bench on the lawn, duct taped me to the bench and proceeded to throw/dump/pour every possible condiment on me, welcoming me into Circus Hall. (I have pictures too)
- In my 29 years I’ve moved 24 times.
- My sister and I look nothing alike. If you saw us standing next to each other, you’d never know we were sisters.
- Every time either Ever After or Pride and Prejudice (Keira Knightley version) is on tv, I have to turn it on and watch it.
3. Share the love and pass this award to newly discovered bloggers.
Ok, so they may not all be newly discovered but these are the awesome bloggers I chose.
Emily at Meme & He – We share the same name which instantly makes her awesome. But then I read her blog and her awesomeness surpasses mine. So adorable and has a great eye for thrifty fashion finds!
Sam at fitness food and faith – She’s actually the very first blog I followed. I love her sweet spirit. She has great healthy recipes, always kind words to take away and I love reading about her love and admiration for her husband and family.
Tatiana at Living life and loving it – She is hilarious! And her baby, Giada is beyond adorable. It’s so fun joking around w/her. Our personalities are a lot alike and it’s real easy (probably too easy) to be sarcastic w/her…and get ghettofied.
Alright ladies, I now dub you all…Versatile Bloggers! (did you feel the sword on each shoulder? That means, it’s officially official.)
Have an absolutely gorgeous weekend.
G-man took this from his lanai a few days ago. Amazing isn’t it?
