A thankful me - 31

Oh, hi there.

My name is Emily. Long time no see. I’m back and better than ever!! …so that might not be entirely true but I’m back none the less. All last week was a big mix of crazy, with some stirrings of great food, great company and sickness… thanks for hanging around as I got the much needed time in with my love.

It was pretty great. And by great I mean pretty awesome. We spent as much time as we could together even though I had to work. I’ll go deeper into it, but his visit started with a beautiful trip to Carmel Valley for the wedding and ended in beautiful San Francisco where the temperature was glorious at 74 degrees! Can’t really beat that. {you know you’re getting older when you have to mention the temperature as part of your great weekend}

Our last dinner together was at a delicious sushi restaurant. This man has gotten me hooked on sushi. And not only sushi, but nigiri sushi. It was all so good, we had to order another plate of everything.

After dropping him off at the airport Sunday morning, I made the trek back to my place. A looong 3 hour boring drive that thankfully my parents let me split up since they live at the half way point, by letting me stop in. Seeing them is always so brief but always wonderful. For one, they’re wonderful parents and I always miss them (and never see them enough) and two, they (mom) feeds me really well.

As I’m getting back into my groove, I have an overwhelming amount of gratitude over the past week.

I’m thankful for:
- all of you wishing me so well with my time with G-man
- safe travels up and down the California coast..and G-man safely getting back home
- a wonderful visit with my parents
- G-man ridiculously spoiling me with a Bose soundlink wireless mobile speaker. It has a bluetooth so I can link it to my iPod and take it anywhere I wantvia Amazon

- Beautiful Katie making me 2 pretty camera straps for my birthday. I love them! Thank you!!
photo (43)
- sipping wine and watching the Olympics with good friends
- a friend wishing me to get sick and waking up sick the next morning (can’t get better than that!)

Confession…having gone a few days without blogging I feel like I’ve lost the ability to blog well. Like this is just a hodge podge of words put together… bare with me as I get my groove back like Stella.

Did you have a fun weekend?

I love sushi so much. Sounds like you had a fun weekend. The weather in the city has been nice, but the weather here is suburbia is sweltering!!

Haha, I know exactly what you mean about loosing the ability to blog well after a little break. I like the list of things you are thankful for. I really need to make more of a conscious effort to document the things I am thankful for.

You just need Tay Diggs, he'll help ANYONE get their groove back. He's YUMMY.

Um am I the friend that wished you sick? I mean I think it was me, but my intentions were the purest of pure!

xoxo
