Oh my goodness, its over!! But why?! Don’t you hate that it lasts just the one day? I know there’s a lot of people who are relieved its over. All the stress of planning, cooking, wrapping, decorating. I’m sure many are saying good riddance, but I love it all.
Even though I stressed a bit over the gifts, I still loved every minute of this Christmas season. L-O-V-E-D
So this day after Christmas, I’m thankful for:
- G-man arriving safely into San Francisco and me not having to pick him up when he landed. I’m sorry, he arrived very early. It would have been painful.
- the hotel shuttle getting him at the ungodly hour. {I was awake, for the record}
- a more than fantastic time with G-man in San Francisco. It was truly beautiful weather. Warm even. …to a point.
- all the wonderful Christmas cards and love from friends, family and blog family. You all are the best.
- a wonderful weekend with my family.
- spending Christmas with my parents. I love them dearly. So so dearly.
- getting the honor of photographing my sister’s family. Can’t wait to show you those when things are all said and done.
- God. God, God, God. He has blessed me more than I deserve. I whine and stress and He delivers. I give him 2 options and He leads me toward 1. He is my Savior and He will never leave me.
- God giving me G-man. I’m so in love with this man its ridiculous.
Let me ask you. How long do you keep your decorations up? I’m in love with mine and hate the idea of taking it all down and having everything look blank once its all put away. I’ve been known to keep it up till mid January.
So, when do you take yours down? How was your Christmas, too!?
I’ll be a little absent around blog world since I’m still with the fam, so you’ll have to tell me how it went.

I'm actually getting ready for round 2 of Christmas. We spend Christmas eve and day with Dad's family than later this week I'll get to do it all over again with mom's... so it's not quite over yet, although I am debating whether or not to take down some of the decor today or tomorrow, or wait till next week. Hmm...
Sounds like you've had a wonderful weekend! I'm taking down the decor today, not one to leave it up. I need my living room back, and a fresh new palate for the new year!
i'm so glad you had a wonderful day!!! it is totally sad... we spend all month preparing to celebrate and then it's over in a day! but there's always next year! : )
aww... sweet san fran. my homeland. thanks for taking me back for a second.
so happy you and the G could be together! and i totally get your sentiments... i'm so whiney and stressy but God! He always delivers! praise Jesus!!!
xoxo!
Glad your Christmas was terrific...mine was fantastic and it's true that it's a bummer it only lasts the one day!!
I will definitely keep my decorations up for a little while!! They're so fun!
Oh my house will take approximately 6 seconds to "un" decorate from Christmas. Jealous. :)
Glad you had a fabulous holiday. Now to the treadmill lady.
x
hey you...yeah you... Sorry I havent been replying back to you through email like I should :( I feel awful and down right bad about it. I'm having a hard time managing my time when hubby is with me. It's like nothing else matters when hes around. I guess him being on deployment has something to do with it and now that hes back, I don't let him leave my site. Hopefully it settles down when the new year comes and I can learn to relax and breathe :)
I keep my decorations up through the end of January sometimes! This year I only put up a few though, so I don't have to worry about the whole "house feels naked" bit! Nice visiting over here...it's been awhile! Happy New Year to you!
Yay for Christmas! Boo that it's over. I'll be out of town the first week in January, so I'll probably start taking mine down over the next week. It makes me so sad to do it though!
